Tropic Pure Plant Skincare

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well.

Today I have something very exciting to blog about - the new Tropic Skincare Range!

A bit of background on this range first: it was created by The Apprentice's Susan Ma (and subsequently invested in by Lord Sugar himself!) and is all totally organic and natural with no added nasties. The products are produced from plants and the ingredients are listed (in plain English!!) on the packaging so you can see exactly what you're putting onto your skin. As 80% of what you put on your skin is absorbed into your body and bloodstream, I think being aware of what is in any products is so important.

Anyway, on to the exciting bit, the products!! I have 4 of the 12 products currently available (all though I have sampled them all), so I'll talk about those.

First up is the Organic Hot Bamboo Smoothing Cleanser. If you think of the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, this is of a similar nature. It smells of lemon and ginger (although ginger isn't one of the ingredients!) and it's beautiful, it goes on gorgeous and smooth and the bamboo cloth that comes with it is so soft, it's just gorgeous. My skin is left looking and feeling amazing and the smell fades to a gorgeous lemon. The bamboo cloth contains antibacterial properties that stop germs forming (which is fab as I detest crispy, smelly flannels that have been sitting on the side of the bath - yuk!!). Highly recommended product, I'll be continuing to use it.

Next comes the Body Smooth Refreshing Polish. Now this is basically a body scrub, again all natural, organic ingredients and it has the same gorgeous lemony smell as the cleanser. It's a salt scrub so has large salt particles in it, it has natural oils in so needs to be mixed up with the wooden spatula before using. It leaves your skin feeling amazing, soft and refreshed, like you've spent the day in the spa - so luxurious, you have to try it!!

On to the Skin Revive Firming Nourishing Cream. This smells of rose (it has rose hip listed as one of the ingredients) its light, not greasy and leaves your skin feeling so soft. I'm not sure about the 'firming' but it definitely nourishes your skin and puts moisture back in, it's just gorgeous.

Lastly, the Lip Love. This is a lip balm which again contains rose hip. It smoothed and moisturises your lips and leaves them with a sheen, you could easily use this instead of a clear lipgloss. Also, I think it tastes quite lemony. I love this product but I would advise you not to apply too much as it can feel quite greasy if over used.

So, those are all the products I have so far. I think the range has lots of potential, they will be launching more products and a make up line in the future, so definitely keep your eye out. All in all, ten out of ten for these products - if you're looking for something that's luxurious yet all natural, organic, vegan and against animal testing, I hope you'll try out this range.

NOTD

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well.

So here I am with yet another nail of the day post. I'm absolutely loving nail varnish at the moment and just can't stop myself from doing different combinations of nail colours. I have quite a large collection of nail varnish do if you'd like me to do a post showing them to you, just let me know.

Today I've gone for lilac nails with a plum colour on my ring fingers with glitter over the plum. It's so pretty - I love it! I've been constantly wearing this Barry M lilac colour over the past week, it's so pretty and I definitely recommend that you check it out.

So the varnishes I have used are: Barry M Nail Paint in Berry; No17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Royal Indigo and Rimmel Lasting Finish in 500 Disco Ball.

Pictures are at the bottom as I'm still blogging from my phone due to my broken pc... Boooo!!

Hope you like this post - what's your favourite nail colour/combo?

Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water

Hi everyone!

Hope you're ok and enjoying the long weekend.

So I thought I'd do a quick review on the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water as it had fast become my favourite cleanser.

Now, I'm a Johnson & Johnson Vlean and Clear girl, I have been since I was a teenager and have always stuck to it like glue. If I like something, I tend to keep using it (I have lots of skin care purchases that I haven't used - such a waste - more on that later!) so when I got a Boots £5 off voucher for the No7 range I immediately headed for the make-up products. But, the skin care range caught my eye and I thought "why not?".

The Cleansing Water grabbed my attention pretty much straight away as it just looks so lovely and luxurious so I bought that and I'm so glad I did. I had used up my Simple eye make up remover and my Clean and Clear and I haven't bothered to repurchase either as this product has completely won me over and here's why.

First of all, as I mentioned above, the packaging is lovely, it has the look of a high end brand which, while it isn't the be all and end all, I think it helps!

Secondly, it smells like a spa product. Not in the perfumey/incensey way but it's really fresh and clean smelling.

Also, it can be used to both cleanse your face and as an eye make up remover so while it is a little pricey (£9 for 200ml), it does the job of two products so is actually really good value in my book (especially as I had a £5 off voucher!!!).

Finally, it takes every scrap of make up off, including mascara. It's amazing! It leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh and just fabulous. This is my new go to face cleanser (I have separate face wash for the bath/shower) and I doubt I'll use anything else. It hasn't broken me out and my skin feels so soft and lovely.

If you're looking for a new cleanse/tone/moisturise routine, I would highly recommend this cleanser.

Here's a pic of the bottle, it's not the greatest of pictures but it's a clear bottle so it was quite difficult to photograph!

Hope you liked this review - what's your favourite cleanser?

NOTD

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all ok.

Just thought I'd do a quick nail of the day as I am absolutely loving this colour! It's Barry M's 308 Berry and it's gorgeous. It's a really girly pinky lilac colour and is very springlike!

As with all Barry M Nail Paints, it goes on really easily although it does need two coats to be completely opaque (pretty standard with any nail varnish to be fair!).

Superdrug had a 3for2 offer on Barry M so I got a couple of other colours as well, but will do a separate post on them and the other things I got!

Anyway, take care and hope you're enjoying the Jubilee celebrations - would love to hear about what you've been up to!

Lotsa love
